Where is the Welcome Party?

The welcome party will take place on Friday, May 16, in the Beer Garden of Corner Brewery, 720 Norris Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48198. If there is bad weather, the welcome party will be held indoors at the same brewery.

What time should I arrive?

The welcome party will be a casual event, so feel free to arrive at any time between 6 and 8pm and leave when you want! The bride and groom will be leaving around 8pm, but the space is available until 9pm, so guests are welcome to continue visiting and enjoy the space until then.

Is there Parking?

Yes! The parking lots are blocked currently, so please use street parking, or the auxiliary parking in the grass lot off River Street (see the map photo below).

Will there be food and drinks?

We will be providing light pub-style food. There will be a cash bar if guests want to go inside to grab refreshments.

What should I wear?

Dressy casual attire! Be mindful of the gravel/stone ground cover when choosing footwear.

WHICH AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?

Detroit-Metro (DTW) is an international airport about 25 minutes from Ann Arbor and offers a variety of flights.&nbsp;There is an airport in Ann Arbor but it is very small and typically more expensive to fly into.

HOW CAN I GET FROM THE DETROIT AIRPORT TO ANN ARBOR?

DTW is a large airport and has many options: (1) Car rental; (2) Metrocar, Metrocab, and taxi options that typically range from $50-$100; (3) DTW has a Rideshare station for Uber or Lyft; and (4) the Michigan Flyer is a shuttle that goes between DTW and downtown Ann Arbor multiple times a day. Seats can be reserved in advance for about $15/person at michiganflyer.com. One could then Uber/Lyft from the bus stop to their hotel.

WHICH HOTEL SHOULD I STAY AT?

There are multiple hotels in the Ann Arbor and Saline area. However, we plan to provide a shuttle that will go from the following 2 adjacent hotels to the ceremony (7 minute drive), then will take guests from ceremony to the reception (20 minute drive). After the reception, the shuttle will be available to bring guests back to the church and these two hotels.&nbsp; If you might want to use this courtesy shuttle, please book your room at one of the following 2 hotels.&nbsp;This can be done through our hotel blocks or through separate travel sites. See the following for hotel block and booking information:

Wyndam Garden: This hotel has no hotel block but may be booked through the website above or through a separate travel website. The rooms typically range from $145-$165/night. Make sure to check the address!

Courtesy Shuttle Schedule

We will be providing a courtesy shuttle that is optional for all guests. Please view the following schedule to plan your day accordingly. Shuttles will be leaving at the times listed below. If you miss the shuttle from your hotel to the church, you can drive directly to the church as the shuttle will stop at the church on the returning evening rides.

The shuttles are available to all guests for rides from the church ceremony to the reception at Weller's.
