Our Wedding

How did we meet and when did it all started? The short version of our story is we met on a dating app. If You Ask Anthony: Before I spoil all the fun here, all in all I just wanted to say, Mr. Boun still got game and I ain't speaking about Call of Duty. On our first date, I arrived on time meanwhile somebody was not, so I took a seat within the R.I.P Pok Pok restaurant. After she finally arrived and as our conversation carried out, it felt like we've known one another for 5 years and to think about it, that anniversary just passed. Date night became the usual and we found ourselves loving to try new breweries and restaurants throughout Portland. Fast forward to the present, the love &amp; partnership between us has been there since the first date and will continue to grow as days go by. Just know that if you see us in public, we may be quiet but we for sure will have a beer in our hand ready to turn back the time and party. If You Ask Helen: I wasn't big on using dating apps just because of all the crazy stories you hear about Tinder until one random night out, my friend Marie introduced me to Hinge and told me she had met someone on there. After some convincing, I finally decided to make a profile. I didn't think much of it until one day, I came across Anthony's profile picture; the classic gym mirror pic and thought to myself, "hmm, maybe this guy will motivate me to actually go to the gym! Ok, whatever let's just match and see where this goes." Anthony was the first to reach out and we talked on the app for a couple days then he asked for my number. As nervous I was, I gave him my number. We started texting for a few weeks until I finally asked him to go out for dinner because I wanted to know if I was wasting my time or not so I didn't want to drag it out for any longer. Our first date was at Pok Pok, I arrived a little later than he had. By the time I got seated, he has already ordered a beer. He proceeded to ask me if I wanted anything to drink like a cocktail but I said, "no, I'll take a beer." Dinner went on as planned and conversations just kept on going. As it turns out, we knew of mutual people. As dinner goes on, I finally get the dreaded question, "So how many siblings do you have?" I was hesitant to answer that I had 5 siblings and I am the oldest. I thought to myself, "oh man, he's probably gonna run." I guess having 5 siblings didn't scare him because he proceeded to ask if I wanted to go to a nearby bar, McMenamins Blue Moon for some drinks and games. That night went on and from there, we continued to have weekly date nights. Anthony quickly learned that I wasn't the best at parallel parking and the places we went were always near downtown Portland so he always offered to drive. Such a nice guy. In the early months of dating, we spent a lot of time trying new restaurants and activites until COVID hit. COVID was a tough time for everyone and this was the ultimate test to our relationship. Do we like each other enough to not be annoyed of one another??? Like many others, we had to get a little creative and think about what we can be doing at home. To my surprise, we did not have any issues. We found ourselves spending more time in the kitchen cooking, playing Mario Party, and binge watching shows on Netflix. I am glad to have gone out of my comfort zone to finally start dating. As we're approaching our 6th year anniversary of being together, I am excited for our family and friends to join us in the celebration of our Wedding to officially becoming Mr. and Mrs. Bounmy. Cheers to many more years to come filled with lots of love, laughter, and adventure as a married couple.
