Once upon a time, in 2019, two friends decided to go to a concert in Israel. Who was performing?&nbsp;Ozuna.&nbsp; For those, who know, WE KNOW! For those who don’t know…look him up, he’s basically Latin American royalty and you’ll hear his music at the wedding. Anyways, back to the story. Two friends decided to go to a concert in Israel. One of the two friends had another friend visiting, so he came along to the concert.&nbsp; The other friend without anyone visiting told some of his friends from his home country that he’ll be going to the concert with two other friends, in case they want to come and join them at the show. His home friends said, “Sure, but it’s a huge place. We’ll see you, if we see you”. The group of three friends arrived at the venue, walked in, and made their way to the seating area. On their way, they bumped into their friend’s home friends. The home friends – Helene and her friend Clary, Itamar’s friends from Guatemala. The group of three friends – Itamar, Rory (he was visiting), and Jordan. Of course, Clary and Helene wanted nothing to do with the two gringos, but in the end, Helene convinced Clary to chill with us (hey we’re not that bad!). One concert, one cab ride, and one text conversation later, Helene and Jordan went out on their first date at the beach which lasted 9 hours and involved amazing Ethiopian food and two different renditions of “Love is in the Air” being sung by passing strangers as they walked together in the streets of Tel Aviv. The rest truly is history. Well, corona, a few wars, trips around the world, and a dog later....

DRESS CODE Cocktail attire / Semi-Formal FLIGHTS You can fly often direct or through Europe but give yourself at least a day to acclimate to the jetlag.&nbsp;Ideally, try to book through an Israeli airline such as: El Al, Arkia, or Israir since they fly to Israel under any circumstances and you will be less prone to having your flight cancelled. ACCOMMODATIONS You can stay in a hotel in the Tel Aviv area or AirBnB. We are attaching a list of some hotels near the wedding venue in North Tel Aviv, but of course, there are many other options in Tel Aviv proper. You can also look at staying in the Central Tel Aviv area, South Tel Aviv/Florentin area (where Jordan and Helene live), or Jaffa but note that prices are fairly comparable to major metropolitan cities. I can help arrange a hotel for multiple people if there's interest. Recommended Hotels: Alexander Tel Aviv, Port Hotel, Yam Hotel, Melody Hotel, Hilton. TRANSPORTATION Tel Aviv has pretty good public transportation with a good bus and lightrail system that can get you throughout the city.&nbsp;For the more daring, you can also rent bikes and scooters to go around town, but do mind Israelis, as the streets are quite wild here.&nbsp;There are also intercity train lines that can get you to other places like Jerusalem and Haifa, for example. To use public transportation, you will need to use a RavKav (an Israeli bus and train pass) so if you want that please let us know ahead of time so Helene and Jordan can help arrange it. Uber is not really a thing in Israel though some cabs use it. If you want to use an Israeli cab, I suggest downloading the Gett Taxi app and using that while you're here to prevent any potential of you getting taken advantage of and paying overpriced fees.&nbsp;You can rent a car in Israel, and Helene and Jordan are offering parking at the venue. If. there's interest, I can also book a driver for a large group. A note on parking: Parking is mostly available, but in Tel Aviv, it is REALLY hard. We have missed dinners because of parking issues in Tel Aviv, so be aware! MONEY If you can find out if your credit card has fees for international transactions that would be helpful. In my experience, almost everything is paid for electronically, so usually there is no need for cash. People tip at restaurants only and if they do, it's 10-15%. If you need cash, you can take money out (Israeli shekels) at an ATM for a small fee and I recommend using a bank ATM to avoid scams. LANGUAGE&nbsp; Everyone speaks English at this point in Israeli society (minus some of the elderly and service people), so you can manage interacting with people pretty easily. SECURITY We will keep you guys updated on the current situation and how to deal with having to go to a shelter, if at all. But, we all hope this problem will be minimized by April.&nbsp;
