We have created this space to share key details about the celebrations, including the schedule, transfers and accommodation options. Our Wedding

AIRPORT

Airport: PORTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport, OPO. Travel time: Approximately 45 mins from the wedding venue in Amares (Braga)*.

Transport: Taxis are available outside of the airport but you can also use Uber and Bolt, as these also operate in Porto. Car hire services are also available from the airport. *Please note, for the wedding celebrations we recommend spending a couple nights in Braga for convenience. However, Braga is only a small town so if you are planning to explore Portugal before or after the wedding, we encourage you to also spend a few days in Porto, as it is a great option with more to see and do. GUEST TRANSFERS TO/FROM WEDDING VENUE

On the wedding day, we will organise transport to and from the wedding venue for guests staying in Braga. There is also ample parking available at the wedding venue for those who would prefer to make their own way or have rented a car.

Travel

The wedding venue is in Prozelo, Amares (Braga), about 45 minutes from Porto (and Porto Airport OPO). For convenience, we recommend spending a couple nights in Braga during the wedding celebrations. However, Braga is only a small town so if you are planning to explore Portugal before or after the wedding, we encourage you to also spend a few days in Porto, as it is a great option with more to see and do. We will arrange transport to and from the venue for guests staying in Braga, except for those at Quinta do Burgo (about a 5-minute walk from the wedding venue). If you choose to stay elsewhere during the wedding celebrations (such as Porto or nearby towns), we kindly ask that you arrange your own transfers to and from the venue. As accommodation can book up quickly, we recommend securing your stay as soon as possible. Braga is a laid-back city with loads of history, cute streets to wander, and good food spots. Things to See Bom Jesus do Monte – Worth the visit for the views alone. You can walk up the steps or take the little funicular. Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga) – Right in the centre and easy to pop into while you’re exploring. Santa Barbara Garden – A nice chilled spot for a wander or a quick sit down. Food &amp; Drink Plenty of relaxed cafés and restaurants around the old town. Local dishes worth trying: Bacalhau (cod), Arroz de Pato (duck rice with crispy chorizo), traditional desserts (such as Pudim Abade de Priscos, Tibias de Braga or a fresh pastel de nata), and vinho verde. In Porto, you will want to try a Francesinha at least once and Polvo a Lagareiro (roasted octopus). Good areas to wander for food: Largo do Paço and Rua do Souto. Explore &amp; Wander The old town is great for a casual stroll, small shops, and coffee stops. There are usually local markets on weekends if you’re around. Day Trips from Braga Peneda-Gerês National Park – Great if you fancy nature, views, and a bit of exploring. Porto City - Perfect if you are not already visiting before/after the wedding!
