A little over a year ago we were introduced by mutual friends, but didnt really start getting to know each other until a few months later when Marc joined Henley’s church and we began volunteering together in a local kids ministry. Serving together week after week, we began to form a bond as trusted ministry partners. Over this time, Marc was beginning to develop romantic feelings for Henley while Henley, on the other hand, thought Marc seemed like a nice guy but hadnt thought about him in that way. Henley was honestly surprised when he asked her on a date, but was excited to get to know him more!

For our first date, we spontaneously ended up at a karaoke room where we sang karaoke for hours. We both ended the date surprised by how much fun we had and by how easy it was to talk with one another. We were both intrigued to learn more about the other. As more dates went on, Henley began to see the deep love Marc has for the Lord and for people, his beautiful eternal perspective on life, and his desire to use His God given gifts to share the Gospel with everyone around the world. Marc saw how intentional Henley was to make Jesus the center of everything that she does and how the love and care that she shows for her people as well as her joyful spirit were a direct result of Jesus’ preeminence in her heart.

Within the first few dates, we were in love!

Quickly, we heard the Lord confirming that He has given us each other to marry! Each step of the way towards engagement and marriage has taught us more about the love and grace of Jesus and helped us to fall deeper in love with Him and with each other. Praise God! We are so grateful that God has woven our paths together and are excited to see how He may use us together in His Kingdom!
