When should I RSVP by?

Please let us know by March 31st!

Will the reception be outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors in a garden (something to note for anyone considering heels). The reception/dinner will be indoors in the hanok building right next to the garden.

Is there a dress code?

● Welcome drinks: casual ("nice dinner" or "date night")&nbsp;&nbsp;● Ceremony: Cocktail attire /semi-formal. Muted neutrals and pastel colors encouraged.&nbsp;

How do you get to the venue?

● Public transportation: There are shuttle buses run by the venue to and from 3 subway stations (Anguk, Hanseong University Station, Gyeongbok Palace Station).● More to come, but we're hoping to coordinate buses for guests from hotels. Please answer the relevant question in the RSVP.

What will the weather be like?

Temperature in May in Seoul ranges from high 60s to high 70s. In the chance of rain (knock on wood!), there is also a ceremony hall next to the garden.

Can I bring a plus one?

If your plus-one's name is searchable or your invitation notes"and guest" in the RSVP page, you can bring a plus one. See you and your plus-one on May 24th!

Do I need a travel visa?

TLDR: No. It looks like the exemption for K-ETA was extended to Dec 2025 (<a href="https://kr.usembassy.gov/010725-message-for-u-s-citizens-extension-of-the-korean-electronic-travel-authorization-k-eta-exemption-december-16-2024/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">link</a>).

You are welcome to search and book accomodations in areas you would like to explore more of. Seoul is very well connected, so it will be relatively easy to get to the venue within Seoul. That said, we do have a couple recommendations in the neighborhood we will be staying in (Apgujeong)! Airport: Incheon International Airport Visa: For travel less than 90 days, US Passport travelers are exempt from needing additional Visa and Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (<a href="https://kr.usembassy.gov/010725-message-for-u-s-citizens-extension-of-the-korean-electronic-travel-authorization-k-eta-exemption-december-16-2024/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Site Ref</a>) Getting from the airport to hotels● Airport buses + subway: Airport buses will get you into the city in one go, but you might have to take a quick subway/taxi ride from the airport bus stop to your hotel.● Taxi/uber

Travel within Seoul

Seoul is well connected when it comes to public transportation (subway/bus), but taxis are readily available as well. We recommend using the following apps to get around: ● <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/naver-map-navigation/id311867728" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Naver Map</a> (Set English in App settings): Equivalent to Google Maps in Korea; shows the quickest route (via public transportation or taxis) with estimate times, fast transfers, etc.● <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kakao-t/id981110422" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Kakao T</a>/ Uber: Both work to call taxis to your exact location, but you can always call one on the street.

Travel

More details to come on:● Which neighborhoods ("dong") are known for what?For example, you'll see by looking at the "Shopping map" below, there's a lot of cool Korean brands in Hannam-dong and Seongsu-dong. But Hannam is more like Williamsburg (a little more posh-y and Seongsu is more like Lower East Side, younger crowd. ● Tips when getting around the city ● Cities outside of Seoul to think about if you're considering (Busan, Gyeong-ju, Jeju, etc.)
