Join us as we celebrate Shabbat and begin our wedding weekend! We will also be honored with an aufruf. The term “aufruf” (often pronounced oof-roof or oif-ruf) means “calling up” in Yiddish, and refers to the custom that the groom be called to the Torah in the synagogue on the Shabbat preceding his wedding. We will be receiving a special pre-wedding blessing from our Rabbi.
