We're thrilled to have you join us for our special day in the enchanting surroundings of Leavenworth. To ensure you have all the information you need for a smooth and enjoyable experience, we've answered some common questions below. If there’s anything else you’re curious about, feel free to get in touch!

How far is Tierra Retreat Center in Leavenworth from local airports?

The Tierra Retreat Center is accessible from a couple of airports. The nearest major airport is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), roughly 2.5 hours' drive away. For those coming from closer locations, Pangborn Memorial Airport in Wenatchee is about an hour away. Renting a car is recommended for the beautiful drive to Leavenworth, allowing you to take in the breathtaking Washington State scenery at your leisure.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Our wedding venue is nestled within a forest, so we advise against wearing high heels due to the natural terrain. To stay comfortable and safe, please wear flats or shoes with chunky heels. The dress code is "forest chic"—think elegance that's in harmony with the natural beauty around us. Considering the possibility of cooler evening temperatures, bringing layers is also a smart choice.

Are there any accommodations on-site or nearby for guests?

Leavenworth offers a range of charming accommodations, from quaint B&Bs to hotels and lodges. Additionally, Tierra Retreat Center has limited on-site accommodations, including suites (2 queen beds), two communal bunk rooms ($20 per person per night, plus $20 per person per night for linen rental), and unlimited camping spots for those who love adventure. Please reach out to the Bride & Groom to book on-site accommodation. See the "Lodging" tab for more information and for other nearby hotels. Early reservations are encouraged due to the popularity of Leavenworth and limited availability on-site.

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?

Yes, children are welcome! We’ve prepared a playroom filled with games and activities, and the surrounding forest is a natural playground that kids will adore. We’re looking forward to a joyful, family-friendly celebration amidst nature’s beauty.

What's the plan in case of bad weather?

Our wedding will take place rain or shine! In case of bad weather, we have a beautiful indoor space on site to ensure our celebration continues comfortably and joyfully.

Is there parking available at Tierra Retreat Center?

Plenty of parking is available for guests driving to Tierra Retreat Center.

Is Tierra Retreat Center Handicap Accessible

The Main Lodge and Amphitheater are handicap accessible and the property has one ADA accessible suite. There is a long, railing lined incline walk up to the amphitheater that can be accessed by wheelchair. Allow yourself extra time to arrive to the amphitheater before the ceremony.

Can I bring my fire/flow toys?

Yes, we welcome your offering of creative self-expression and would love to see your fire and flow toy performances light up the night! The only caveat is that we must adhere to local regulations, so if there is a fire ban in place at the time of our wedding, we will not be able to include fire in our celebrations.

Can I bring my own beer, wine, or liquor?

Yes! Tierra Retreat Center is a "Low-Host" facility, meaning there is no full-time employee on-site during the event. Beer and Wine will be provided at the Reception and Welcome Party. If you prefer to drink liquor, please bring your own. There is refrigeration available in the lodge.

Can I smoke at Tierra Retreat Center?

Please take a look at the signs for designated smoking areas. There is a smoking area behind the main lodge. September can be a high wildfire time, so please be mindful of butts.
