On August 13th, 2022 at Urshan College during 'tribal wars,' we found ourselves on the same team. Luca made his rounds, saying hi to everyone, and finally, he made his way over to me. Our initial chat was brief as we were soon separated.

An hour later, we ran into each other again at flag football, stealing a few more moments to talk before being pulled away again. Later, at the slip n' slide, I heard a voice call my name—it was Luca again. This time, we had more time to discuss classes and hometowns.

Later that night, Luca friended me on Facebook, sparking conversations about classes. From that point on, every hour outside of class was spent together. He truly became my best friend.

On February 27th, 2023, he asked me to be his girlfriend and we started our long-distance journey in May.

On September 22nd, 2023, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Who would have thought that a small-town Canadian girl would come in contact with an American city boy and fall in love, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
