Matthew and Hilary met while they were working for the same company back in 2015, and at first Hilary was too shy to say hello. They ran into each other in the cafeteria in the mornings (planned by Hilary after a little while ;) ), and always smiled at each other, and went their separate ways. Hilary then realized that Matt&nbsp;was friends with someone that Hilary spent time talking to at work, and started seeing them taking lunches together. Eventually, she worked up the courage to introduce herself, and she became part of the "break gang". Hilary and Matt&nbsp;then created a strong friendship for the next few months, texting and chatting daily. Their first date was a Paint Nite in the December of that year, because Matt knew that&nbsp;Hilary loved being creative, and they had a contest to see who would paint the better Christmas Tree.&nbsp; From there onwards, they continued to spend time with each other and fell in love. In the two and a half years that they have been together, they have lived in an apartment, are renting a house, have adopted two cats (Ophelia and then Juniper), and have spent many hours laughing and being with each other. They talked a lot about getting married and their lives together.&nbsp; December 24th, 2017 they went shopping for a last minute present, and they saw a closing sale at one of the Jewellery stores in the mall, and Hilary joked that they should "just go look" (that's what she said about the two cats... so keep that in mind). She fell in love with one ring, and then and there Matt bought it. When they got home, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. And as you can see, she said yes!
