It was the first of January. I didn’t know it at the time, but that day would be the day that started the rest of our lives together. We talked over the phone day and night the entire week leading up to the first time we met. We were both so excited to see each other we almost couldn’t stand it. That day I made the 30 minute drive to Donalsonville for the first time. It was the first of hundreds. I was so nervous as I walked up to knock on the door. You were just as nervous standing by the door waiting on the other side. The minute the door opened, I caught the first glimpse of how beautiful you truly were I knew I was in love. You hugged me immediately and we both told each other how excited we were to finally be face to face. After I met your parents, we spent the day watching movies, talking, and learning new things about each other. We both had a smile on our faces all day long. As the day turned to evening, we hugged each other tighter knowing it would be the first time we had to say goodbye. When it was time to go, we hugged each other tight and kissed goodnight. The day was over but our future still had forever to go. I drove to see you day after day as our love grew more and more. We spent every minute we could together from that day on and the rest is history. Today we have been together 4 years and 8 months. Our wedding is approaching quickly, we only have 8 months until the date. I can’t wait to share that day with you and everyone we love. I know the moment we both say our vows and the rest of our lives have begun.
