Our Wedding

As some of you may know, our families crossed paths in the dance world at HID, before we officially met. Hill was only 7 and Ash was only 9 years old. You could say we weren’t quite ready for anything serious at this time. The first time we would meet would be about 10 years later.&nbsp; It was one cold winter night in 2011. Fate would lead two talented, funny, and good looking individuals to the same Sudbury highschool party. Ashton met Hillary, and Hillary met Ashton… and their lives would forever be changed. Sparks started flying and after just a short conversation, the chemistry between us was SO good that we wouldn’t talk again for a decade. Fast forward another 10 years. All it took was a single swipe on Tinder and we picked up right where we left off. When we planned our first date, Hillary suggested a backwoods trail that most people don’t know of where there was a beautiful spot to take a break, feed the birds, and have an IPA. The date started off when Hill tried to make Ash park on the side of a dirt road in his nice clean Audi A5 and then forgetting where the trail entrance was. That was followed by a hike spent speed walking in exhausting heat while swatting away a billion mosquitoes. We even skipped the bird feeding and settled for chugging our beers and getting out of the trail as quickly as possible.&nbsp;Now, most people would think this sounds like the date from hell but somehow we didn’t want it to end right then and there. It may have been the fact that Hill was walking in front of Ash while wearing tight leggings, or the fact that Ash took 3 days to make the most perfect playlist to listen to while in the car… or it could’ve been that we just knew this was the last first date we were ever going to take. That first date lasted over 8 hours and we left each other planning another date the next day.&nbsp;&nbsp; The dates and laughs continued and we spent a lot of time together doing things most children would do:&nbsp;playing at the park, going for walks, watching movies, doing puzzles, and hanging with friends. We also discovered that we both loved to drink and have a good time. Next thing we know, 7 months had passed and we spent our first Christmas together in Newfoundland. Although the trip was changed due to COVID, we made the most of it and spent Christmas isolated together with some Boxey family. This trip was where Ash knew Hill was the one, specifically when she dragged a Christmas tree from the trunk of our car 3km down the road.&nbsp;&nbsp; In 2023, we both decided it was time to take it to the next level and leave Sudbury basement living and move in together.&nbsp;We found a place in Creemore … in the basement of Hill’s dad’s house. It was from one parent’s basement to the next, but we were happy and excited to make the leap together.&nbsp; In 2024, we found our first home together! Our bank accounts were smaller but our hearts were bigger as we planned to say goodbye to our parents' basements for good. We had one last hurrah planned before we moved in. We travelled to Montreal to watch Formula One in action, but it turned out that seeing F1 Champion Max Verstappen wasn’t the only plan on Ashton’s itinerary because he managed to secretly pull out a ring that he had been hiding in his jacket all throughout the rainy and stormy day. He waited for the perfect moment while on a Ferris wheel looking over beautiful Montreal! Ofcourse Hillary said yes, being that she was locked in a small space 60 meters in the air…just kidding, it was the easiest yes she has made to this day.&nbsp; Now that you’re all caught up, we are here, inviting all of our favourite people to come celebrate this 20 year-in-the-making love story. If you would like an early check-in, the Allure hotel staff have stated that you may call on the day of to ask about the status of your room and they will try to accommodate an earlier check-in time.

Transportation via bus will be provided for all our guests. Two buses are scheduled to arrive at the Allure Hotel and depart at 3:30pm to travel to our wedding venue The Barn 1906. Transportation will also be provided at the end of the night - times and details are to come following RSVP.
