February 18, 2018

We met through Twitter in February of 2018 with a random conversation that would unknowingly blossom into our forever. 🤍

March 16, 2018

We were enamored with one another and instantly clicked. There was never a dull moment each time we were together. Endless jokes, laughter, movies, food, and exploring made us grow closer and closer!

September 2018

We decided to attend Eastern Washington University together in September of 2018 where Jake would be starting his junior year and Hollie would be starting her freshman year. We spent a lot of our time on campus at The Roost, doing our homework in the library, exploring Cheney/Spokane, and of course, having a barbeque chicken sandwich at Einstein’s Bagels almost every day after our classes.

2020

We continued to explore and grow our relationship. It’s only up from here!

June 2022

After graduating, we moved down to Austin, TX for the summer for Jake’s design internship. We made tons of memories together. Some favorites were Buccees (biggest gas station in the U.S.), Terry Blacks BBQ (Jake’s favorite bbq spot ever), visiting San Antonio, taking our routine walks around our apartment complex that was conveniently located next to an outdoor mall (We’re avid mall walkers), and playing badminton, of course. It was a summer we’ll never forget!

July 2022

While living in Austin, we drove to Dallas to adopt our first puppy together. We named him Bean.

August 2022

We packed up Jake’s 2000 Toyota Camry to the brim with Bean and all of our things to make our 31 hour road trip home. We made some fun stops on the way - Arches National Park, Moab, the ‘High School Musical’ school filming location in Salt Lake City (on Hollie’s bucketlist), and driving through the Rockies in Denver!

March 16, 2023

On our 5 year anniversary, March 16, Jake pulls out the ring box from his sock that he was running around Seattle with and pops the question on the top of the Space Needle. Although Jake doesn’t remember anything he said and Hollie couldn’t hear a thing he said, we both knew that we’d want to spend the rest of our lives wrapped in each others love. Hollie immediately answers “YES!!”. It was the most fun and love-filled weekend.
