Depends. This is subjective because each person/family has their own goals i.e. strictly attend the wedding, extended travel, see family, explore the south, etc.
If you're interested in wedding attendance only and are flying in, then please be mindful of jet lag- You'll want a full day to rest before the wedding and a full day to get back adjusted after you've flown home.
What About Car Rentals?
Recommended: Use expedia.com --> Requirements: 25yo, valid driver’s license and a credit card in your name. Some companies will rent to drivers as young as 21yo, but a surcharge often applies. Car rental companies will offer you insurance, which is optional- You may be asked to provide proof of other coverage if you opt out. Expedia recommends adding collision protection while booking your Ireland car rental. This protects your ride against theft, vandalism and collision damage throughout your trip.
