We met while working at Chick-fil-A. We were working side by side (JJ was working shakes and I was working Beverages). At the time, I wasn’t looking for a relationship and I was worried that JJ had a crush on me. So, throughout the day I was trying to make it obvious that I wasn’t interested. Then at the end of the day JJ walked me to my car and asked for my Snapchat. I said yes but I felt bad because I figured he was interested in me. However, he never asked me out and we became good friends. After becoming friends I noticed I was developing feelings for him, but didn’t act on them.

A month or so later I was hosting a game night at my house. It was going to be me, Braeden, Cameron, and Miriam. Cam had a crush on Miriam and I didn’t want to make the game night seem like a double date. So, I invited JJ. Then Braeden thinking the same thing I did invited a couple other people. The party ended up being way larger than expected.

We had all settled down to watch a show and I was sitting next to JJ. We ended up getting into this conversation and were so invested in it that we didn’t hear our friends calling our names. So, they took a picture of us (shown above) and from that moment on we were “shipped” by our friends. That eventually lead to us dating, and now getting married!

A lot more happened in between, but that is the gist of how JJ and I met.
