Q + A

Where will the wedding be?

We have chosen to make it official at the beautiful Iman Villa, located in the village of Pererenan, which lies within the popular Canggu district. Canggu is fast evolving into Bali's hippest area and its beaches, renowned for sunsets and surf, are just a few kilometres away from the villa. Canggu also offers amazing local boutiques and spas for those that want to do a bit of shopping and pampering. Head for nearby Jalan Pantai Batu Balong and you’ll find cool bars, cosy coffee shops, and a great selection of places to eat offering everything from French patisserie to tapas, burgers and vegetarian fare . At Echo Beach, there’s a good choice of restaurants and cafes including The Beach House, offering a daily barbecue and live music on Sundays. Other vibrant music venues include Old Man’s, and Deus Ex Machina. For those of you looking to soak up a bit of culture and not just the Bintang Beers, there are amazing tours to undertake and the local area close to the villa provides a lovely insight into the traditional Balinese way of life.

Are children invited?

Yes, we will provide a designated children's table with activities and nannies to keep the children entertained so parents can enjoy themselves too! There will be child meals and ice cream on the day of the wedding which you can request when you RSVP. If you would like to hire a nanny or babysitter there are plenty of well-known agencies available in Bali. For further information and reviews please see the Facebook page- 'Bali with Kidz' or https://www.balisbestbabysitting.com/

What is the weather like?

Bali is hot all year round due to the tropical climate, with August being the sunniest month of the year. It is expected to be between 20-29 degrees with minimal rain, perfect beach weather to top up your tan!

Can I take pictures of the ceremony?

Aside from one guest photographer (Amy Marling), our ceremony will be "unplugged" so you can enjoy the moment with us. However, please feel free to take and send as many photos as possible either side of the ceremony.

Do you have a gift registry?

Many of you will travel long distances to share our wedding day with us, so please do not feel obliged to get us a wedding gift! More than anything, we hope that you can make it on the day to celebrate with us and that would be the best gift we could receive.

Will there be an after party?

The wedding will end around midnight. If you want to continue the party, visit Sand Bar to experience the ultimate Canggu vibes. A simple wooden shed on Batu Bolong Beach that sells drinks during the day, turns into a spectacular beach party after midnight.
