It all began with a simple swipe right. On February 7th, 2023, two people matched on a dating app, and the conversation started. The banter was good, but neither of them were the best at keeping up with the app. Weeks went by, and then, with the release of the new Scream movie, Holly, who often went to the cinema solo, decided to reach out to Jordan. She knew he was into horror films, so she asked if he wanted to join her to see the movie on Saturday, March 11. They agreed to meet for a drink at Fionn’s, located across from the theater. It turns out their conversation flowed much better in person. After a few drinks, they headed to the movie, chatting throughout, trying to figure out who the killers were (don’t judge—there weren’t many people in the theater thanks to the snowstorm outside). The night ended with hours of conversation in Holly's SUV, continuing to connect over everything from the movie to life in general. From there, their communication only intensified. They spent the next few days texting and ending their nights with hour-long phone calls. Over the next few weeks, they went on more dates: casual meetups at The Leaf, brunches, game nights, and even Jordan picking Holly up from a girls’ brunch (which, to his amusement, involved a “zombie horde” of women coming up the street). They also began meeting each other's families. Holly’s grandmother was particularly fond of Jordan, especially after learning he was Jewish, and Jordan brought Holly along to his family’s Passover celebrations. As they spent more time together, it was clear they were becoming an important part of each other's lives. One of Holly’s favorite moments was when Jordan's sister, Lindsay, met her for the first time. Lindsay texted Jordan afterward, telling him, “Marry that girl.” If you know Lindsay, you’d understand how big a compliment that was. By September, they officially decided to move in together, though it really began in August when they adopted two kittens, Dewey and Loomis. Holly’s house went up for rent, and the couple started blending their lives together in Jordan’s home. Holly took charge of a major cleaning spree, transforming the space into something that felt like home for both of them. She also began hosting meals and gatherings, a new experience for Jordan, who was more accustomed to a quieter, more private life. As the months passed, the couple’s love for each other grew deeper every day. Both worked hard, juggling demanding schedules and a busy social calendar, but their connection remained strong. They made time for each other, and as the year went on, it was clear they were building something special. Holly celebrated a milestone moment that year—her birthday and the 5-year anniversary of being cancer-free—hosting a celebration at their home. Jordan, who was already brimming with excitement, had shared with a few close friends that he was planning to propose to Holly, though the exact timeline was still a secret. On March 11, they marked one year together, revisiting Fionn's for a drink before heading to the movies, just like their first date. Then, on March 15, they celebrated Misty’s birthday with a spin class, which turned out to be much more than just a workout. Jordan had been planning something special for weeks, with help from their friends Bree and Misty. Misty had decided to celebrate her birthday with a spin class, an activity she and Holly loved to do together. She invited their friends, as well as some of Holly’s other pals she wanted to get to know better. Bree, who had her own trip coming up, asked Holly if she could take the podium for part of the class since she was leaving soon and had a massage that morning. In true Holly fashion, she brought champagne and cupcakes to celebrate Misty’s special day. The class was a blast. Bree curated the perfect playlist, mixing tracks from Morgan Wallen with birthday beats and some of Holly’s favorite songs—like Motley Crue and Galantis—saying she wanted to include songs Holly would love since she thought Misty would enjoy them too. By the time the final song started, Holly was in a euphoric, sweaty daze from an incredible class. Jordan, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck—fidgeting, unclipping his shoes, and fumbling with his mic pack. As the lights dimmed, Jordan made his move toward the podium. Then, the opening chords of Grow Old with You by Adam Sandler—the song Holly loved from her favorite movie—started playing. Jordan dropped to one knee, looked up at Holly, and shared why he loved her, asking her to marry him and grow old with him. Through tears and laughter, Holly said yes, overwhelmed by the heartfelt proposal. Surrounded by their friends, the couple basked in the joy of the moment. Cassie, who was in on the secret, had made sure Holly had a new sweater to wear—one that proudly featured her soon-to-be new last name. But the surprises didn’t end there. After the proposal, they headed out for dinner, where both of their families were waiting to join in the celebration. It was the perfect night—a proposal that was absolutely tailored to Holly, filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family.

You are responsible for covering your own room however we are looking to arrange 1-2 shuttles from the Roadhouse to the venue and back we will be covering the shuttles!
