Harry met Holly when he moved her into her apartment on campus. It was 2019, Holly had arrived in Australia only a few days ago. Harry carried her broken luggage across campus up to her apartment. We remained friends for months until the beginning of November when we began dating, unfortunately, a month before Holly was leaving Australia. Holly left the beginning of December to solo travel to around Aus. Harry surprised Holly in Melbourne, fully winning Hollys heart. We then began our journey with long distance, with daily video calls and weekly date nights. Holly squeezed in a trip to Australia in March of 2020 and narrowly made it back to America before the world shut down. Harry had a trip planned and booked for June that was inevitably cancelled, then November, then December, and then ultimately postponed indefinitely. But that didn’t stop us, we continued with long distance and created a plan for Harry to move to America. In July of 2021, after countless applications, interviews, and organizing flights, Harry arrived in America for the first time. He uprooted his whole life to be together with Holly. We moved into our apartment together and adopted our cat Peanut. After a long, grueling green card process, Harry was finally a legal resident with a green card, allowing him to travel again. Holly and Harry began splitting time between America and Australia to see family. On July 5, 2023, Harry proposed to Holly and it was the easiest decision of her life.
