Holly and Brock’s love story began in the spring of 2021 at the University of Findlay, where they were both preparing to finish their undergraduate degrees. For Brock, his time at Findlay was extended—thanks to an extra year of eligibility brought on by COVID-19, he was pursuing his master’s degree while savoring one last season of collegiate golf, while Holly was beginning her professional career in Ultrasound.

Their first meeting happened not in a classroom, but at La Charita, the best Mexican restaurant in all of Findlay, Ohio. That evening, Brock noticed Holly sitting with her friends, one of whom (Chelsea) happened to be a high school classmate of his. Sensing a spark, Brock saw an opportunity (after thoroughly checking out her Instagram). A teammate of his shared classes with Holly’s friend, and became the perfect wingman, extending an invitation to a gathering at Brock’s house that night. Luckily, Holly decided to go—and the two hit it off instantly over a game of beer pong.

As if scripted by fate, their first official date took place back where it all started: La Charita. By October 2021, Brock officially asked Holly to be his girlfriend, and their weekends were soon filled with laughter, love, and time together in Findlay.

After Brock graduated and moved back home, their love proved steadfast despite the distance. With an hour separating them, the couple made it a priority to see each other every weekend. Whether it was Brock traveling or Holly hopping in the car (usually her), they never let the miles keep them apart.

In the early part of 2024, Holly and Brock took a big step forward in their journey and moved in together in Westerville, creating a cozy home filled with love—and lots of cuddles for their beloved kitty, Beans. Whether they’re shopping, binge-watching their favorite shows, spending time with loved ones, or simply enjoying each other’s company, their bond has only grown stronger with time.

Holly and Brock can’t wait to see what the future holds as they continue building a life together. From a chance meeting in Findlay to the promise of forever, their story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, being in the right place at the right time changes everything.
