On eharmony...after each of us have several false starts and nightmare dates.

Andy suggested coffee, Holly suggested Olive Garden. After Andy got done laughing (it was decidedly not a joke) then the rendezvous was agreed too.

As soon as I saw her sitting on the bench, with her long blond hair, I knew immediately that she was WAY out of my league. Walking up I tried to steal some confidence, until I realized she was wearing really high heels...

I was waiting for Andy on a bench outside the restaurant. As he walked up towards me, there just seemed to be a quiet confidence about him. He looked so nice and calm. He was so handsome my heart started to race and I told myself not to trip over myself because I was staring at him. Andy was polite and engaging. In our conversation, he asked a lot of questions and genuinely listen to my answers. Andy was a kind gentleman our entire date and as we walked back from Dutch Bros to our cars he reached out and took my hand and made my heart flutter. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hoping for a kiss goodbye as we parted ways. However, being the gentleman that he is, I had to wait for that kiss, but it made it that much better.

Andy! Andy kissed Holly first.... Well,... Holly really, really wanted Andy to kiss her on the first date. But Andy held back...until the 3rd date.

Well, it took me a while to figure out. Andy‘s steadfastness, integrity, consistent support and love is what won me over in the end. As things got difficult, Andy wouldn’t run, not even when I told him to. Andy wouldn’t leave even when I tried to push him away. His love and constant support ate away all my defenses until I knew I never wanted to spend another day apart.

Holly was a complete answer to prayer. I prayed that God would put into my life a woman that would be my partner. A woman that lived her faith, wanted to spend time with me, talk with me and desired me. God blessed me with Holly in all those ways and more!

We plan on buying a home together. We plan and dream of traveling all over the world. We love hanging out with the grandkids and hope to do lots of that in the years to come.
