Our Wedding

Holton and Bailey both chose to move to Waterloo, IA to work as engineers for John Deere long before they met one another. Holton moved in August of 2020 while Bailey moved in January of 2022. Three days into Baileys first week of work, she met Holton at a welcome dinner for the engineering program they were both a part of. A month later, they had their first date, and a month after that they were official! Two and a half years later, Holton proposed, and now they get to spend the rest of life together and cant wait to celebrate that with everyone!

Our hotel blocks have closed. The Hampton Inn is now very expensive, so we would recommend booking the Holiday Inn Express if you would still like to utilize our shuttle.

This hotel is right at the end of Main Street in Downtown Cedar Falls with everything you need walking distance or super close by including fun bars and restaurants! It would be our recommendation but there are limited rooms, so book early if you can. It is about a 15 min drive from the venue.

Hampton Inn Cedar Falls Downtown

This hotel is not walking distance to much, but a very short drive to anything you need and only a 10 min drive from the venue.

Holiday Inn Express and Suites Cedar Falls - Waterloo

A detailed schedule will be included in welcome bags at hotels and will be available in the lobby of each hotel The shuttle will start at 2 PM and pick up from BOTH hotels! There will only be two trips before the ceremony. If you do not plan to use the shuttle but want to party on without driving home, feel free to leave your vehicle at the venue overnight and take the shuttle back to the hotel or use Uber (not super reliable). Trips back to the hotels will start at 9 PM with the last shuttle leaving at 11:30 PM.

Whiskey Road is Holton and Bailey’s favorite restaurant and first date spot! They’ve got a variety of great entrees with some of our favorites are the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles, and ribs.

George’s is right across the street from Whiskey Road with a great selection of drinks to enjoy on their outdoor patio. Their menu prices are a bit higher but worth it for their food quality. We love their shrimp and grits for brunch and steak dinner specials.

Mulligan’s is a staple for when Holton or Bailey have family in town! It’s a bar and grill with awesome pizzas and brick oven subs and is great for watching games.

Bailey and Holton and their friends have played in a simulator league here and enjoy it! There are canned beverages and 4 simulators available.

Golf Lab - Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls and Iowa in general is known for their extensive trail system. Both hotels have parts of the trail right outside their doors and you can go for miles in any direction. Holton and Bailey have trained for multiple half marathons on these trails without having to run the same route over and over.

Recreational Trails

Grid lounge has 6 racing simulators and canned beverages available. The simulators are pretty realistic!
