What started as a handshake introduction in church quickly blossomed into a year of close friendship and a year of crushing on each other. Everyone seemed to think it was obvious but us!! While we were never alone at the group game/puzzle nights, ski trips, or birthday parties, we may as well have been. In hindsight it was clear (and photographed) that we only had eyes for each other!


In September of 2024, Caleb finally got the courage to ask Hope on a first date. A knock on the front door was followed by a lot of giddy laughter and more importantly a yes! We discovered early on this first date that we had each liked each other from that very first handshake. Through a year of friendship and months of dating, the affection only continued to grow. Between date nights, ice cream runs, and movie nights with roommates, we simply couldn’t get enough time together. And throughout it all, there was never a doubt in either of our hearts that we were dating with marriage in mind.


On June 20th of 2025, Caleb got down on a knee and asked Hope to be his wife. Conveniently, the place of engagement grabbed our hearts, and on August 9th of 2026 it will be where we enter into a lifetime of covenant relationship! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all soon!!
