Hope & Luke

Luke and I met the beginning of our junior year at Clemson. We had just moved into The Orchard, 16 houses apart, as strangers. The first night back, we were at the neighborhood welcome party. Luke came over to introduce himself halfway through the night and we never stopped talking after that moment! It was like meeting my long-lost best friend. Next thing we knew, it was late into the night, and we were the only ones left, still deep in conversation. Luke asked for my number, and I walked home thinking I was in a dream!    We went on our first date that next night. I couldn’t contain my excitement as he picked me up! Mellow Mushroom has never been so good. After that date, I knew instantly he was the one. We started “officially” dating later that semester. That year was filled with many of our favorite memories!!

October 8th, 2020 - Our first Date Party!

The dream continued until our little break that summer… But we don’t need to mention that.   The Good Lord brought us back together Senior Year to continue writing our love story! We owe many thanks to our friend, Fisher, for inviting us both to Edisto for his birthday. We have been inseparable ever since! After graduating from Clemson, Luke went Ohio University for his MBA and I moved to Charlotte to start working. He now works for Icon Custom Builders in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where we’ll begin our life together!

May 13, 2022 - Graduation

Luke proposed in Gaffney, South Carolina at his family’s farm. He planned the entire day perfectly and I was totally surprised! All our dreams came to real life that day!! We are incredibly thankful for the of goodness of God in writing a story only He could write. June 21, 2025 will be the next best day of our life, and we are so excited to celebrate with you!

Getting to Birmingham 

We know lots of you are coming from out of state to celebrate us - we appreciate you and are so excited to celebrate with y’all!! Birmingham has a great airport (BHM) with many direct flights, especially from Charlotte!https://www.flybirmingham.com/ The city is fairly easy to get around with Uber/Lyft, so there is no need to rent a car. The Marriott is about 20 minutes from Shoal Creek.

We are lucky to have Oak Mountain State Park in our community! Our favorite hikes are the lake trail and kings chair.
