Our story begins in a fifth-grade classroom, where we were lucky to be randomly assigned as partners for an assignment. From then on, whenever the teacher instructed the students to choose a partner of the opposite gender (which was often), Hope always chose Alec. At the time, Hope was not interested in interacting with other boys and Alec was okay with this as he thought Hope was pretty. Little did we know this was only the beginning.

After several years of friendship, we officially began dating our junior year of high school. Since then, the last eight years have allowed us to create many memories together. We went to prom, graduated high school, endured four years of long-distance, traveled, and attended each other’s college graduations.

In 2023, we bought a house in Southwest Michigan and, as if countless home repairs and wedding planning weren’t enough, we rescued our first pet, a seven-year-old cat we named Bean. We love the little life we have created for ourselves and are so excited to be getting married! We hope you will be able to celebrate with us on our special day.
