Benjamin and Hope first met in Whitewater, WI summer 2017. Hope attended a 4th of July party at Benjamin's college house. Benjamin, waking up bright and early at 11am, saw Hope out his window and thought to himself, "who is that beautiful blonde?" However, Benjamin was more preoccupied with making chicken nuggets at the time, than meeting his future wife ;) Fast forward to the night, Benjamin ran into Hope at Denny Ks (the best bar in Whitewater) and was mesmerized by her smooth legs. Benjamin thought it'd be a fun idea to play limbo with Hope's legs, since she was resting them on one of the bar's pillars. Benjamin and Hope talked a little that night, and eventually went their separate ways, sort of... Benjamin took a quick nap under a tree at a nearby park before he embarked on his journey home.

Benjamin and Hope lost contact for awhile, but eventually crossed paths again during 2018 graduation. The rest of the 2018 summer, Benjamin and Hope spent a lot of time talking, hanging out, and making crepes (a Benjamin special). September 19th 2018, Benjamin and Hope officially started dating.

Benjamin and Hope spent lots of time together before eventually moving into their first apartment, May 2020 where they spent 3 years. During that time, Benjamin and Hope welcomed their first member of the family, Biscuit, the sassiest, but cutest Corgi you will ever meet!!! Hope eventually graduated nursing school, and Benjamin built his career at BMO. Finally, they felt the time was right to buy a house! May 2023, Benjamin and Hope bought and closed on a brand new house in Menomonee Falls. You could say that they had it all! Except, Hope kept pestering Benjamin for that one thing every girl dreams of, a ring!

August 2023, Benjamin and Hope planned a family vacation down to Florida, where Hope's parents recently moved (hello forever vacation home!!). They were accompanied by Jenny (Ben's mom), and Aaron (Ben's college/current best friend and now Hope's friend), and little did Hope know... Ben's dad Tim was joining as well. The entire family enjoyed vacation as normal. Hope was excited to see her family, especially her family dog Peter. Little did Hope know, Benjamin was creating an entire plan to make the trip even better!

August 4th, 2023 everyone spent the entire day on the beach, and by entire day I mean literally 9am until 5-6pm. Hope was tired from the Florida sun, and decided to take a little afternoon snooze on the beach. After waking up, Shannon, Rick, and Jenny went back to the condo to freshen up and meet Tim (which Hope did not know about). During this time, Aaron was tasked to distract Hope while Benjamin coordinated family and hiding the ring. Once everything was in place, Benjamin asked Hope to take some pictures down by the beach, and to Benjamin's surprise, Hope was still tired and did NOT want to take pictures right now. Finally, Benjamin convinced Hope to go down and take pictures. Once they reached the beach, Benjamin grabbed Hope's hands and began explaining how special their relationship was, and how excited he was for their future. As Benjamin went down on one knee, both families (Rick, Shannon, Jenny, and Tim) came down on the beach to celebrate. Hope was ecstatic, surprised, and impressed with Benjamin's coordination! The rest of the vacation was spent celebrating their new future :)
