Our Wedding

How we Met

Our story began in April of 2023 at the gym — where all great love stories start, right? We noticed each other between sets and started chatting over Snapchat (yes, we are that Snapchat couple). From the very beginning, we talked constantly. Our first hangouts were gym sessions, filled with laughter, encouragement, and just a little bit of flexing.At the time, Wyatt was working first shift and I was working second, but he always made time for me. He’d stop by my work after his gym sessions to bring me little treats — Dairy Queen, Starbucks, anything to brighten my shift. It didn’t take long for me to realize he was something special.We couldn't officially date until after I graduated high school, but the day after graduation, I told my dad about this cute boy— or as he would say, “the bowler from Belding.” While my dad wasn’t immediately thrilled, Wyatt quickly won him over (as he tends to do with everyone). That June, during my open house, Wyatt officially asked my mom and dad if he could date me. And from there, it was history.When I went off to college in Florida, that's when I knew this was real. Long distance isn't easy, but Wyatt stuck by me every step of the way. He was always there — supportive, kind, and willing to move mountains just to make me smile. Every time I came home, he’d rearrange his entire schedule just to spend every possible moment with me.We’ve come a long way from gym hangs and late-night Snapchats — and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. ❤️

The proposal 

The proposal happened on May 15, 2025, in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee — a dream that had been living in the back of my mind for a while. Back in the summer of 2024, I had casually mentioned wanting to go on a friend trip to Tennessee, and how I once had a dream of getting engaged there. At the time, nobody seemed interested… but not long after, Wyatt surprised me by saying our friends were suddenly planning a group trip to Tennessee in May.I had my suspicions, but as we got closer to the trip, I let them go. We had talked about getting married for a while, but I wasn’t expecting anything to happen that week. Especially not on the very last day, when we headed into the mountains for what I thought was just a little hike.Everything seemed chaotic — people rushing to find parking, acting a little frantic — and then they all started climbing into this cold little creek, trying very hard to get me to join them. I was confused, but I walked toward Wyatt, and when I turned around, suddenly everyone else was out of the water. That’s when he started speaking, and I realized what was happening.Wyatt began his proposal… and in true Wyatt fashion, he slipped on a rock and fell in the creek — nearly losing the ring in the process! But he held on tight (to the ring and to the moment). He was embarrassed, but honestly, it made it all the more perfect — so him, so us.In that moment, I felt so special, so excited, and so overwhelmed with love. Surrounded by our closest friends in one of the most beautiful places, it was the perfect moment to end a perfect trip. And I said yes to marrying my best friend.

Who’s the better driver?Wyatt always says him, which he is probably not wrong considering how my car looks. i have to counter react to that and say I am definitely more of a cautious driver. Who said “I love you” first?Wyatt did, but I said it right back :) What’s your couple guilty pleasure (TV show, food, etc.)?100% taco bell, we go there way too much. Where are you going on your honeymoon?We are going to DISNEY! Disney is basically the only place I have ever vacationed and I am excited to be going as a married couple. What’s your dream vacation together?Hopefully for our 5 year anniversary we will go to greece. That was one thing we bonded over was our dream to visit greece one day. What are you most excited for in marriage? Who’s the better cook?Hands down Wyatt What’s one thing you’ve taught each other?

Our Story

Emily has truly been my best friend for as long as I can remember. We grew up together in the same church and went to the same school nearly our entire lives. We’ve been inseparable since sixth grade — playing volleyball, making endless memories, and spending just about every moment together through high school. Where you saw me, you saw Emily too. From sleepovers to occasional skip days (sorry, Mom!), she was basically my sister growing up.
Emily has been by my side through some of the hardest times in my life, so of course, it only feels right that she’s standing beside me on one of the happiest. I couldn’t imagine this day without her.

Emily Hopkins

I met Bri during my senior year of high school at my very first job. Funny enough, I didn’t think we’d end up being friends — but after working together a few times, we realized how much we had in common. Before long, we were inseparable at work and started spending more and more time together outside of it. She made going to work something I looked forward to every day.
Bri played a huge part in the beginning of my relationship with Wyatt — she was basically the woman behind the scenes. There were times I wouldn’t even open a message from him without her sitting right next to me, helping me figure out what to say. You could say she helped me find the courage to start this love story.
When we both went off to college, Bri was also there for me during the tough transition away from home. Like any deep friendship, we hit a bump and had a period of not talking — but one day we both admitted we missed each other and picked things up like no time had passed.
I’m so grateful for the journey we’ve had, and I’m even more grateful to have her standing by me as one of my Maids of Honor.


Bri Whitney 

Kiley is my niece, but more than that — she’s my forever buddy. She made me an aunt when I was just two years old, and from day one, she’s felt more like a little sister than anything else. We truly grew up side by side, sharing so many of life’s moments and challenges together. I always joke that I was the "test run" for her mom, and honestly, it’s kind of true!
We’ve shared countless laughs, late-night talks, card games, and deep sister-style conversations that I’ll cherish forever. No matter what we’re doing, time with Kiley Sue is always full of joy. She was one of the very first people I told about Wyatt, and her excitement and support meant everything to me.
She’s been a constant in my life and one of my very best friends — I couldn’t imagine this day without her by my side.

Chloe is Emily’s little sister, which means she’s basically my little sister too. Like any sibling bond, we’ve had our moments of frustration (she definitely knows how to push our buttons!), but I’ve also had so many moments where she’s been my biggest hype girl.
We’ve spent countless hours talking, venting, and just being there for each other when it really mattered. It’s been such a privilege to grow up with Chloe — she’s truly one of my favorites, and I’m so thankful to have her by my side today to celebrate this special moment.

Ceremony - 3:00pm

Our ceremony is set to begin around 3:00 PM. We kindly ask that all guests arrive and be seated by then so we can start as close to 3 as possible. Thank you for helping us kick off this special moment right on time!

Social hour- 4:00pm

Following the ceremony, we’ll be taking photos with our bridal party and close family. While we’re off smiling for the camera, you’re invited to enjoy:Refreshing drinks from our lemonade trailer, Light snacks to nibble on, and Fun outdoor games for all agesPlease note: We will not be serving alcohol and kindly ask that none be brought onto the property. Thank you for helping us keep the celebration joyful and respectful for everyone!

Dinner- 5:00pm

We’re excited to treat you to a delicious meal made with love! Dinner will be catered by a dear friend and will feature a tasty assortment of goodies, including:Smoked chicken &amp; tender brisket, Sides like potatoes, pasta salad, mac &amp; cheese, beans, and veggies.And don’t worry—we didn’t forget dessert! We’ll have a sweet spread of treats for everyone to enjoy. Come hungry and save room for seconds!

Speeches and First Dances- 6:00pm

Cake Smashing- 7:30 pm

We're putting a fun twist on the traditional cake smash! Instead of going straight for the frosting, we'll be setting up a Honeymoon Fund Showdown—one jar for the bride and one for the groom. Whoever collects the most money by the end of the night wins the ultimate prize: the chance to smash cake in the other’s face! Be sure to stick around—you won’t want to miss the sweet (and messy) moment!

Last dance- 10:00pm

We’ll be wrapping up the night by 10 PM with our last chance for dances! The music will stop then so we can all soak in the final moments before saying goodbye. Our venue requires everyone to be out by 11 PM, so please be sure to grab your things and any late-night snacks on the way out. We can’t wait to end the night on a high note with you!
