Our Wedding

Danny and Hope originally met at church, Danny serving on Production Staff and Hope serving on Worship Team. Danny had noticed Hope before and wanted to get to know her more, but Hope was intimidated by Danny's technical knowledge and skill. It wasn't until December 2018 at the Church Christmas party that they first struck up a longer conversation. Hope got there early and was waiting on a friend and Danny took the opportunity to chat with her. It was then that a real spark was felt! They both couldn't stop thinking about each other after that night. Danny found Hope on Instagram and "slid into her DM's", as the kids say. They would chat in messenger and discovered so many loves they had in common (theme parks, movies, FOOD!). Hope reached out to her friend Val Perez to confess to her that she had been "talking" to Danny and was excited and very nervous to see where it goes! Val immediately endorsed Danny for the incredible man he is, and had her husband, Julian, call Danny and demand he ask Hope out on a date. Later that night, Danny called Hope and the two talked on the phone for hours and then he asked her out on a dinner date. The date went flawlessly, and the server kept interrupting the date to ask for Hope and Danny's order, because they couldn't stop talking and laughing. From then on, it was really easy, something they were both not used to! Many dates binge watching The Mandalorian, going to Walt Disney World and Halloween Horror Nights, and just enjoying being together were had. They were both exactly what each other had prayed for for years and they were both just so thankful God brought them together. The best surprise was in the first week of March 2020, when the Whitson family went on a cruise on The Harmony of the Seas! Hope had no idea, but Danny had been working with her sister Paige to choose a ring and gotten permission from her parents, Pam and Doug, to marry her. He surprised her on the first formal night by having a photographer follow them around. He then took her to her favorite area of the ship, Central Park, and popped the question! Hope was still convinced her family wasn't in on it, till they popped into a wine bar and her family was there with champagne! Shortly after the cruise, COVID numbers hit new heights and cruising and the world shut down. No one could've anticipated being furloughed or Hope losing her job this year. The thing that has been the brightest and most hopeful has been Hope and Danny learning to walk through life together and being thankful to have each other. We are so thankful for the support of our dear friends and family and can't wait for the future God has in store for us!

The  Balcony Orlando is in the heart of Downtown Orlando, however,  it is nearby to the theme parks. It is only about 17 miles from the Walt Disney World Resort and 9 miles from the Universal Orlando Resort.

Things to Do

We want to keep our loved ones safe and healthy! We will be updating the guidelines as we approach the wedding, however we wanted to share some important details. The Balcony Orlando is a very large space, complete with over 10,000 square feet of outdoor space and 6,000 square feet of indoor space, so we have lots of room for social distancing! The ceremony will also be live-streamed for those who cannot attend. We will be asking our Guests to wear masks when not eating or drinking and will be encouraging our Guests to frequently use hand sanitizer and wash hands when possible. More details to come! Since the venue is in an office building, it can take a bit to navigate so we recommend arriving early.
