We first met seven years ago at a youth event at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. We were just 9th graders at the time and had no idea that this would be the start of something so special. From that day forward, we stayed close — through school, church, sports, and life — and built a friendship that would eventually grow into much more.

Our first “date” was at Chick-fil-A before a basketball event at Anderson Christian School. We say “date” loosely because Meredith didn’t actually know it was a date until she showed up. Hudson, on the other hand, was fully convinced it was official. (He’s been one step ahead ever since.)

Hudson says he knew from early on that he loved Meredith and wanted to be with her. It took Meredith a solid two years to catch up (who's counting?) but she finally came around, and we’re both pretty glad she did.

Fast forward to March 14, 2025: Hudson got down on one knee on the rooftop of the Bleckley Inn in downtown Anderson, SC, and Meredith said yes!

Now we spend our time going to concerts, cheering at any sports event we can find, and serving together in the youth group at our church — right where it all began. We’re so thankful for the journey that’s led us here and can’t wait for what’s ahead. Let the wedding countdown begin!
