Hunter and Sadie met in 2019 and had their first date in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where Hunter grew up. Hunter was at school at the University of Alabama while Sadie attended Troy University. It was love at first sight, Sadie loved Hunter's big smile and he loved her beautiful blue eyes. She asked him on a date and they maintained a long-distance relationship for the first four years of dating. They would take turns making the nearly four hour drive back and forth from Tuscaloosa to Troy and talked almost every day.

When Sadie moved to Birmingham for work, they started seeing each other every weekend. They go out on a fancy date night every Friday to make up for the time they missed because of distance. In February of 2024, Hunter proposed. The couple decided to celebrate their love through a small ceremony in Italy!
