We met in September of 2021, with absolutely no intention of seeing each other again, much less dating. After being introduced that weekend in Milwaukee, where Hunter was attending college at the time, it was clear almost immediately that there was something special between us. It was just easy. We spent all weekend together, talking and laughing like we had known each other for years, and it was clear that this was too good to let go.

Little did we know, the genuine happiness and sense of ease we have when we are together would be the easy part of our relationship, and we somehow found ourselves in an accidental long distance relationship just a matter of weeks later.

We were in love from that very first weekend (crazy, we know).

Ever since, we have found ourselves spending nearly every weekend in the car, driving countless hours across Minnesota and Wisconsin to spend time together. It was clear that the distance made things harder, but at the same time made no difference at all.

Hunter proposed in La Crosse, WI, where Chloe attended college. The years of FaceTime calls and late night drives just to spend time together finally had an end date.
