We technically met as kids, growing up in the same neighborhood. When Alex was in elementary school, he played a munchkin in the middle school Wizard of Oz play and I brought him flowers. We re-met as adults at a neighborhood Christmas party. After a night of talking (and drinking), Alex went home and told his parents he was going to marry me some day.

Guess he was right :)
