It all began when Hunter slid into Samantha’s DMs on Instagram, spinning an elaborate story about spotting her at a UNLV event. The only problem? She wasn’t even there! Samantha had been busy preparing for her role with the Vegas Golden Knights, while Hunter was off playing hockey for UNLV. After a few playful exchanges, Hunter boldly asked her to be his girlfriend just a month later—apparently, he wasn’t one to waste time.


Their first date was the epitome of romance: ice skating, sushi, and a movie. But the real magic happened in the parking lot of the ice rink, where they shared their first kiss inside Hunter’s trusty 2004 red Chevy Cavalier. Nothing says love like a car older than their relationship.


Their bond quickly grew stronger, with many nights spent at hockey parties (because, naturally, that’s what hockey players do). Before they knew it, Hunter was practically living at her place. Eventually, they decided to move into a friend’s vacant apartment—technically breaking a few rules—which, unsurprisingly, led to them getting caught and having to move out. Oops!


But they’ve also shared plenty of amazing adventures. They both worked for the Vegas Golden Knights, with Hunter on the Ice Crew and Samantha on the Cheer Team. Together, they’ve traveled to Oregon, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Texas, New Orleans, and Utah, preferring to explore over staying home. And they’ve become regulars at raves—because what’s better than dancing in neon lights with your favorite person?


After graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, they’ve now moved into their first real home together, marking a major milestone in their journey. They have also added to their family a precious King Charles Cavalier, Ollie.


Having been together since 2017 and engaged for nearly two years, they’re thrilled to start this next chapter of their epic, occasionally rebellious, and always adventurous story.
