Beyond the amazing pools, beach, restaurants and activities of the resort, here are some excursions and other things to do!
The Yucatan has tons of Cenotes, or natural sinkholes with fresh water, where you can go for a refreshing swim with a magical atmosphere. Many cenote parks include jumping platforms, ziplines, and underwater caves to explore. We highly recommend checking out a Cenote if you're looking for other things to do!
We have visited Cenote Zapote Ecopark which includes ziplining into a cenote and Ecopark Kantun-Chi, both of which include jumping platforms and swimming in underwater caves!
The Yucatan is filled with amazing ancient ruins. Some of the best ruins include Playa del Carmen Archeological Site (1.5 hours away), Tulum Ruins (2 hours away), Chichen Itza (2.5 hours away). Guests can travel to the ruins via taxi or tours that include transportation.
Xcaret is a water park, theme park, amusement park, eco-archaeological park, and more. It has a privileged location in the middle of the jungle, with natural settings such as underground rivers, cenotes, and the mesmerizing Caribbean Sea. In addition, Xcaret is the only one among the theme parks in Cancun and Riviera Maya that celebrates Mexican history, traditions, and folklore with such magnitude. Experience the culture and history of Mexico with the night show that we loved and highly recommend! Additional optional activities from the park include parasailing, swimming with dolphins, snuba, and snorkeling. Booking options that include bus transportation are also available.
Xoximilco Cancún is a fun and complete Mexican party that you can enjoy on a picturesque Mexican gondola enlivened by a witty host, a mariachi, traditional Mexican music, and tequila! Try the most representative dishes of Mexican food, drinks, and much more on board a floating party!
Aboard a catamaran boat to Isla Mujeres, an island 13 kilometers off the coast from Cancún. It's a vacation destination known for beaches such as northern Playa Norte, resort hotels and for snorkeling and scuba diving on the surrounding coral reefs. At Punta Sur, the southern tip, there's a lighthouse, the remains of a Mayan temple and a sanctuary for sea turtles.
Immerse yourself in among the vibrant coral and swim with sea turtles and colorful fish in the crystal clear waters of Cancun.
Commune with nature from the wheel of your own speedboat on this ever-popular tour of the Nichupte Lagoon and its mangrove jungle. Go through the winding channels as you look out for wildlife, then slip into the warm water to snorkel coral reef.
Venture beyond Cancun's beaches to discover street art, markets, and taquerias. Enjoy live music, a playground, and plenty of street food in the Parque de las Palapas. Market 23 and Market 28 are great options for souvenirs at bargain prices. Pose in front of massive sea creatures and other colorful murals that adorn buildings throughout downtown.
