We have always known that we wanted to get married in a beautiful stately home in a picturesque setting. After months of searching up and down the South East of England, we were both thrilled to find the hidden gem that is Hylands House! We both instantly fell in love with the place and just knew that this would be the perfect location for our nuptials!

Hylands House is a grade II* listed neo-classical Georgian villa set in 574 acres of parkland, once 4,300 acres when the estate was at its largest when owned by John Attwood in the 1800's. Thereafter, the estate was divided into seven lots which were sold on individually with one lot containing Hylands House. After the death of the last owner (Mrs Christine Hanbury), Chelmsford Council purchased the House and Estate and opened the park to the public thereafter.
