This is one of Ian and I's favorite areas to visit. On Sunday morning's we enjoy getting donuts from our favorite Breakfast spot (Cypress Table) and walking through the Village with Amelia in tug. Stopping in the little shops scattered amongst the village.
On nights during the weekend, sometimes we stop at the bars and breweries they have in the village such as the Village Idiot, Dirty Oar (our favorite brewery) or the Village Bier Garden.
The Eau Gallie Arts District, also known as EGAD. This little strip of Melbourne is home to our favorite Pizza restraunt of all time, FM Pizza! In addition to that amazing Pizza spot, it is home to a Speakeasy that Ian and I are members at (Lourdes Library), an Irish Bar (The Cottage Irish Pub) and a Brewery (Intracostal). You can't go wrong with spending a night on the town here!
Home to the best Irish Bar in the state of Florida, Meg O' Malleys (I've spent a fair amount of nights eating bar food here). There are a few other cool bars like Hurricane Creek , the Melby has a Rooftop Bar, and Hell N' Blazes Brewing Company. Some great food spots too such as Crush IX and Pub Americana to name a few!
The World Famous Cocoa Beach! Year round you will see surfers here catching waves, just as Kelly Slater did forty years ago before he became the world renown surfer he is now. This is also home to Ron Johns "Surf Shop" which is were most tourists go when they visit the area. Some good restaurants on the beach are Brano's Italian (really fantastic lunch special), Forth Street Fillin Station and Surfinista!
Home to an extensive aircraft collection beginning with World War II (F4U) and ending with fourth generation fights (F16s/F18s). They have an entire hanger dedicated to the Vietnam War. All the tour guides there are very knowledgeable about the aircraft as some of them have been volunteering there for 10+ years. I was a volunteer at this museum for almost a year and I loved every minute of it.
