Our paths first crossed as we both worked in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. After seeing each other around town, our first conversation came at a dinner party hosted by the American ambassador. Banter gave way to curiosity as we recognized similar humor and values beneath our surface differences. We would briefly meet again as friends before leaving.

Ibilola returned first to the United States and took a job in Washington, DC. Jeremy came home to his family outside the city, and we soon found ourselves making plans. Steadily we grew closer until Jeremy knew he could not live without Ibilola and told her.

Much has happened since. From Baltimore to the Bay Area, we watched each other thrive. Through chaos and calamity, we learned to protect and support. By trial and triumph, we became one. It is now our honor to invite you to join us as we unite in holy matrimony.
