Our Wedding

A Love That Grew With Us 

Our story began in the hallways of high school — he was a senior on the football team, and I was a sophomore cheerleader watching from the sidelines. We were young, unaware that life had quietly placed us in each other’s orbit for a reason. Years later, fate found its way back to us. In 2013, I reached out with a simple message to see how he’d been. Ray asked me to the Yorktown Fair, and from that day forward, our story began to unfold — one built on laughter, friendship, and a love that only deepened with time. Since September 30, 2013, we’ve grown through every season of life together — college days and career changes, loss and healing, countless moves, and a world that changed around us. Through it all, one thing has remained the same: we continue to choose each other, again and again. There’s a quiet beauty in growing up side by side — in learning, evolving, and seeing love mature into something unshakable. Ours is a story of patience, faith, and forever — proof that real love doesn’t just last; it grows stronger with time.

Every great story has someone who knew it before it was told, and for us, that person is Emily. From 9th grade to the earliest days of our relationship, she has been there through every chapter that led us here. Emily is loving, hilarious, and endlessly loyal, with a presence that makes every moment feel warmer. We’re so grateful to have her standing beside us as we celebrate this next chapter.

Our paths to Tia were written long before our paths to each other even crossed. In a way that feels almost meant to be, she has been woven into both of our lives long before this chapter began. Tia brings humor, heart, and a ride-or-die loyalty that never wavers, she’s the kind of family you never stop being thankful for. We’re honored to have her standing beside us as we celebrate this moment.

Every story needs a little laughter and a lot of heart, Cheyenne brings both effortlessly. From cheerleading days in 10th grade to every chapter since, her friendship has never wavered. Even across distance, she has remained the kind of person you can count on in the moments that matter most. We’re so grateful to have her standing beside us for this special day.

Dominique became part of our world and quickly felt irreplaceable, like someone our lives had been making room for all along. She is kind, thoughtful, fiercely loyal, and the kind of friend who shows up fully and loves deeply. Having her beside us on this special day means more than words can ever hold.

Some friendships begin in the most ordinary places and become something extraordinary. Who would have guessed a small connection between two innocent teenagers folding clothes at Target, bonding over a silly TV show, would turn into a lifelong friendship. Caitlin has been part of our lives through so many seasons, bringing laughter when it was needed most, comfort when it mattered, and love that never wavered. Having her beside us feels like one of those full circle moments we’ll cherish forever.

Maliq and Ray’s bond goes all the way back to sixth grade, the kind of friendship that doesn’t just last, it grows into brotherhood. Even before we became “us,” Maliq was already part of the story, and he’s been a constant ever since. He brings laughter without trying, calm without effort, and a steady loyalty that makes everyone around him feel at home. We’re so grateful to have him standing beside us as we celebrate this day.

Devin has been part of Ray’s life since 6th grade, and their bond has always been brotherhood, one of those connections that never breaks, it only holds. Through countless jobs, seasons, and changes, they’ve lived through so many chapters side by side, building the kind of friendship that doesn’t need constant contact to stay strong. Even when life gets busy and time passes between conversations, they pick up right where they left off, it’s always love, always loyalty. Devin is a protector through and through, a true ride-or-die, fearless in spirit, and always down for the next adventure, especially on two wheels. We’re honored to have him standing beside us on our wedding day.

Phill has been part of Ray’s life since 7th grade, and their friendship has always felt more like a brotherhood than anything else. He’s wildly unhinged, effortlessly hilarious, and completely fearless in being himself, never caring what anyone thinks and always bringing the best energy wherever he goes. Smart, loud, and the ultimate hype man, Phill is the life of the party in the truest sense, and there is genuinely never a dull moment with him. There is truly no version of this wedding day that exists without Phill’s presence by our side.

Some friendships don’t need constant attention to stay strong, they’re simply built to last. Ray met Allen in 9th grade, and through every season of life, his friendship has remained a constant. Allen brings the perfect balance of calm and energy, always showing up with humor, confidence, and the kind of presence that makes people feel comfortable. TJ has been part of Ray’s life since 8th grade, and he’s been around through it all. He’s truly one of a kind, always bringing his own energy, always keeping things interesting, and always staying true to himself. No matter how life shifted or what the friend group looked like, TJ’s loyalty to Ray through the years has never changed. We’re so grateful to have him standing beside us on our wedding day.

Jarred has been part of Ray’s life since 7th grade, and along with Maliq, they’ve been an inseparable trio that feels more like family than friendship. He’s hilarious, quick-witted, and always down to joke around, there’s truly never a dull moment when Jarred is around. But behind all the laughs, Jarred has the softest heart and the most genuine love for the people in his life. He’s the kind of friend who values quality time, always making an effort to bring everyone together, and always showing up with loyalty and real care. We’re so grateful to have him standing beside us on our wedding day.
