Unfortunately, we are not having kids at our wedding, with the exception of our immediate family.

Due to spacing, we can only accommodate a certain number of guests. The number of seats allowed will be shown when you RSVP. You will see your name along with your guests name or “Plus One”

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. Any late arrivals will not be allowed in to the ceremony.

We kindly ask to please avoid colors typically worn by the bride, such as white, ivory, cream, etc. If you are concerned about matching the bridal party, their attire will be various shades of blue, but there is no set color they will be wearing.

There will be an open bar at our cocktail hour and reception. If you choose to attend the after party in the tavern, there will be a cash bar at that point in time.

Please show up in formal attire. Dress pants and button up shirts for men and dresses for women. Please no jeans.

We have decided to go with a stations package offered by our venue. There will be various options to choose from including a carving station, a pasta station, a mashed potato bar and more. There will also be several passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. If you have any allergies/dietary restrictions, please note it when you RSVP.

We kindly ask that guests wait to post their photos of us until we share our photos.

For out of town guests looking for places to eat during their stay, there are tons of restaurants in Southbury and neighboring towns such as Woodbury and Oxford. For some recommendations, please see our things to do page.

Since there are so many guests we know are traveling, we will provide any local events as we know of them. Many towns in the area do fall fairs and festivals. For nature lovers, nearby Southford Falls State Park is a great option for a quick local hike. Please note, the Falls did sustain some damage in the August 2024 flooding that hit Southbury, Oxford, and other surrounding towns. Some areas could still be closed for safety reasons at the park.

Our wedding venue is a hotel, so anyone who would like to can book a reservation there (room block code to be provided once available). There is also another hotel just up the road right off of I-84 exit 16. If you are more interested in an Airbnb, there are options in the area as well.

Located nearby The Heritage, there are various small stores with local charm and also larger stores like Ulta and TJ Maxx. A short drive away in Oxford is Quarry Walk. Quarry Walk has many shopping and meal options available including small boutiques, a variety of restaurants, and more.

Close by to the Heritage, some well known unisex salons in the area include Sabit V and Adam Broderick. For any men needing a last minute haircut that don’t want to go to one of the above salons, there is a barber shop directly across the street from the hotel. If you know in advance you would like an appointment, please schedule one with the salon of your choice. If you decide last minute, please call the salons for availability.
