Our story

We met at a Saturday boxing classes in 2019. It was Ilona’s first month in class since she started and Misael’s first time after a short break from boxing due to client work in Chicago. They both thought they were “new” in the class. Ilona stopped by to say “hi” and asked very technical questions from Misael after the class. He on the other hand thought that she was expressing interest so he invited her for brunch, then for a date at Punchbowl Social in Deep Ellen. With his Ducati motorcycle and many dates and rides later, the rest is history.

Funny facts:

1. Misael said first “I love you” in Spanish while vacuuming the house and then he freaked out and was worrying if Ilona understood him

2. Our first baby was our rescue PitBull-Tyson, who Misael picked after seeing him nap rather than chase a ball. It was love at first sight.

3. We rode together on Misael’s Ducati motorcycle everywhere and we carried everything on it, including a large printer one time.

4. Misael’s decided to fully commit after Ilona invited him to Mexican restaurant “Taxco” with authentic Mexican food.

5. Both their favorite sweets are ice cream.

6. While Ilona was pregnant, Misael made her laugh so hard that she peed her clothes in the middle of the street.

7. After Ilona delivered Mati and left the room to talked with her parents, Misael slept so tight that nurses had to searched for Ilona all over the hospital because they couldn’t wake Misael up.

8. We both love to travel. We visited together 7 different countries on 3 different continents.

9. We have 3 kids in tot ( Mateusz, Tyson and Pearl) and we hope to expand the family more some day.

10. Ilona grew up with many pets: birds, fishes, dogs, cats and turtle while Misael only with one pet turtle, which he played hide and seek with.
