Our Love Story

Picture of Our Love Story

Steve and Irene met at Massapequa High School when they were just teenagers. At Irene's locker, Steve would love to take Irene's books, and make her late to class, to show his affection.

Irene and Steve became fast friends where their shared love of literature turned into a shared love for each other. They spent time together going out, watching Rangers games, and listening to their share love of music.

But after graduation, they went their separate ways. Irene went to Stony Brook University, and Steve went to Albany. They promised to stay in touch, but life got in the way. They grew apart, their texts became less frequent, and eventually, they lost contact altogether.

Five years later, Irene was living back in Massapequa, working as a teacher in the very same school in which they met. Steve was living in Massapequa again as well, attending Hofstra Law School. One day, Irene was browsing through Facebook when she saw a familiar name pop up in her Facebook messages. It was Steve. She saw that he was living nearby again, and that he was sorry for losing touch after all these years.

Irene didn't know what to do. Should she send him a message? Would he even want to see her? She decided to take a chance. She sent him a message, telling him that she had seen his message on Facebook and that she was wondering how he was doing.

Steve was surprised to hear from Irene. He had often thought about her over the years, but he never thought that he would hear from her again. He was happy to see that she was doing well, and he was excited to catch up with her.

They started messaging each other back and forth, and they quickly realized that they still had a lot in common. They talked about their lives, their jobs, and their dreams for the future. They also talked about their time in high school, and they reminisced about all the fun they had together.

After a few days of messaging, they decided to meet up in person at the Perk Coffee house in town. It was like no time had passed at all. They laughed, they talked, and they fell in love all over again.

They knew that they had something special, and they didn't want to let it go. They decided to give their relationship another chance, and they've been together ever since. They're now engaged to be married, and they're excited to start their new life together.
