If you come to Seattle, you definitely want to visit Pike Place which is one of the best sightseeing in Seattle.
We think it lives up to the hype. It’s part farmers market, part food hall, and there are a wide variety of food options to indulge in, including some unique offerings that you probably don’t come across too often.
If you want to see what’s the first Starbucks ever look like ? Only a few steps away from Pike Place Market but you might end up waiting in a long line to get in. If you want to do it for the gram, highly recommend it. At least you will be cultured haha.
Have you seen any wall with so much gums on it ? Look no further. Just go down the alley, you will see the famous gum wall
Walk down a little bit more, you will enter the Pier area. Fancy for some seafood ? There are many restaurants around the Pier area that offer variety of food that you can choose from. You can also go up to the Seattle Great Wheel to have the view of the city
Tired from sightseeing ? You can walk around downtown Seattle and do some shopping. There are department store and brand along the street you can find by West Lake Center area.
After you’ve stuffed yourself full, it’s time to walk it off in Capitol Hill. To get there, you can either take a Lyft, or hop on the Light Rail. Today, the Capitol Hill you see is one of the hippest neighborhoods in Seattle, with all sorts of amazing food, drinks, and shopping to be had.
Done walking around Capitol Hill ? Head to Space Needle area so you can see the symbol of Seattle. The Space Needle is obviously one of (or the most) common things that come to mind when thinking of Seattle. The structure was created as part of the 1962 World’s Fair and is a great spot to go for lovely Seattle and Puget Sound views. If you are a sucker for good view, then its recommended to take it to the top of the Space Needle
Since you already by the Space Needle area, check out Chihuly Glass Museum, Museum of Pop Culture or Pacific Science Center which is good for families and kids. When you’re done exploring Seattle Center, head up the hill to find the best view of Seattle at Kerry Park. You will love to have some photoshoot up there, promise.
Beautiful alpine scenery, charming Bavarian-style shops, and delicious German fare make Leavenworth the perfect day trip from Seattle. It’s close enough to Seattle to make it an easy drive, but once you arrive you’ll feel like your thousands of miles away from the PNW and in the heart of Bavaria! Who said you can’t enjoy a little bit of Europe over here in the States?!
Not too far from Leavenworth, you can also visit Lake Chelan area with beautiful lake and over 30 diverse wineries and tasting rooms all with a new unique experience. This can be a 2 days 1 night trip which will worth your time driving to escape the city vibe.
For those hiking enthusiast, these are some suggested trails. If you want to do Mt Rainier it now requires reservations, so you can plan ahead.
