Last year, we finally dared to go on the trip of our dreams. It was a hard decision because there were always reasons for not doing it. We spent months researching and building our itineraries, saving up, and feeling scared and excited at the same time.

We got engaged last September between the breathtaking mountains of the French Alps.

Yes, we both knew for a long time that we wanted to get married to each other, Iri did not expect this to happen during this trip and Peter just wanted it to happen in an exceptional place on Earth that represented what the relationship has been for both of us for these last 5 years.

After she said "Yes" we kept it a secret for the whole trip. We focused on enjoying the blissfulness of this new chapter in our lives that was about to begin once we flew back to the US. In the meantime, we spent our days holding hands, eating tons of ice cream, missing trains, walking 18k steps a day, and being present for each other and the friends we got to see.

Now that the secret is out, we are excited (and a little stressed) to plan our wedding!
