Claude and Iris first met on November 12th, 2022, while visiting their friends Louise and Amelie during a holiday weekend in Lille. These two women had a mutual friend who invited everyone out for drinks, and that chance encounter changed everything.Despite a language barrier, Claude and Iris immediately connected and talked the entire night. Afterward, they kept in touch through messages and FaceTime calls until December 20th, when they reunited in Paris and officially began their relationship.Living in different cities—Iris in Loches and Claude in Grenoble—they embraced long-distance, visiting each other whenever possible. In July 2023, Claude traveled to the U.S. for the first time to meet Iris’s family. The following month, Iris moved to Lyon to be with Claude, where they loved building a life together surrounded by his family and friends who warmly welcomed her.Claude and Iris share a love for exploring the world—and each other’s worlds. Together, they’ve built their language skills and traveled through Europe and the US, collecting memories along the way.When they’re not traveling, they love cooking together, trying new recipes. In April 2024, during one of these many adventures, Claude asked Iris to marry him—and she said yes!Soon after, they began the fiancée visa process so Claude could move to the U.S. Meanwhile, Iris returned to the U.S. in August 2024 to finish her degree. It was back to long distance—this time across an ocean—but their love only grew stronger.Now, with Claude’s visa approved, he’ll be moving to the U.S. in October 2025. They can’t wait to start this next chapter together, building their lives side by side as husband and wife! Claude et Iris se sont rencontrés le 12 novembre 2022, lors d'un week-end de vacances à Lille, chez leurs amies Louise et Amélie. Ces deux femmes avaient un ami commun qui les invitait tous à boire un verre, et cette rencontre fortuite a tout changé.Malgré la barrière de la langue, Claude et Iris ont immédiatement sympathisé et discuté toute la soirée. Ils sont ensuite restés en contact par messages et appels FaceTime jusqu'au 20 décembre, date à laquelle ils se sont retrouvés à Paris et ont officiellement entamé leur relation.Habitant dans des villes différentes – Iris à Loches et Claude à Grenoble – ils ont embrassé la distance, se rendant visite dès que possible. En juillet 2023, Claude s'est rendue aux États-Unis pour la première fois afin de rencontrer la famille d'Iris. Le mois suivant, Iris a déménagé à Lyon pour rejoindre Claude, où ils ont adoré construire une vie ensemble, entourés de sa famille et de ses amis qui l'ont chaleureusement accueillie.Claude et Iris partagent la même passion pour l'exploration du monde, et de celui de l'autre. Ensemble, ils ont développé leurs compétences linguistiques et voyagé à travers l’Europe et les États-Unis, collectant des souvenirs en cours de route.Lorsqu'ils ne voyagent pas, ils adorent cuisiner ensemble et essayer de nouvelles recettes. En avril 2024, au cours d'une de ces nombreuses aventures, Claude a demandé Iris en mariage – et elle a dit oui !Peu après, ils entamèrent les démarches pour obtenir un visa de fiancé afin que Claude puisse s'installer aux États-Unis. Pendant ce temps, Iris retourna aux États-Unis en août 2024 pour terminer ses études. C'était à nouveau la distance, cette fois de l'autre côté de l'océan, mais leur amour n'en fut que plus fort.Maintenant que le visa de Claude a été approuvé, il déménagera aux États-Unis en octobre 2025. Ils ont hâte de commencer ce prochain chapitre ensemble, en construisant leur vie côte à côte en tant que mari et femme !
