Iris and Joseph met each other in February 2017 on the dating app, POF. Every time they tell the story to anyone Joseph loves to mention that Iris messaged him first 😊

Although these two took separate paths over the next few years, with Iris moving to Las Vegas to get her masters and Joseph working through his career, no amount of distance or time was great enough to keep these two from coming together in 2020. As uncertain as everything was in 2020, what was certain was that Iris and Joseph had come back stronger than ever.

Joseph and Iris knew they were perfect for each other from the very beginning, from their weird sense of humor and talking smack, to the way that they complete each other, nothing could break this bond.

In March of 2021, exactly 5 years to the date of the very first time they met in person, Joseph proposed to Iris on the beautiful sandy beaches of Hawaii. He knew this had to go perfectly, so he lied to her and told her they were attending coworker's all-white anniversary party just to get her to dress the way he knew she would want to be dressed, and even went as far as to carry an empty blue gift bag just so she wouldn’t catch on. After he proposed he turned her around to see the photographer and Joseph’s coworkers capturing the special moment.

Every day since has been spent planning this special day for us all to enjoy together, and for these two to celebrate their love and join together in marriage.
