We met while working part time at a Nike store the summer of 2004. We had their first date in October and were a couple one month later. We moved into our Loft at Yonge and Eglinton a couple of years later and adopted our dog Rylie in 2007. We have been inseparable and traveling the world ever since.

We were on our first adventure to Europe and enroute to meeting our family for a cruise in Rome, we stopped in London and Paris. While in Paris, we booked a nice dinner at the Eiffel Tower on Tuesday, June 30th. After dinner, we planned to hang out in the area and wait for the light show as we heard the Tower lit up and glittered at night. He mentioned that he wanted to check out this pedestrian bridge as he heard you could get a great shot of the Eiffel Tower. When we arrived at the bridge, a photographer came up to us and asked if she could take our picture as she was taking photos of well dressed couples in front of the Eiffel Tower for a photo book. She seemed genuinely nice so we agreed and posed for a picture. We put down our things and posed for the shot (Iris thought it was a scam and they were going to rob us lol). After she took the picture, Michael grabbed Iris' hand was down on one knee! He told her all these amazingly romantic and lovely things about us and she burst into tears. After being together for over 10 years, she didn't think she was going to be surprised or cry so he did it perfectly. Iris realized afterward that Michael had hired the photographer to help capture the proposal to share with our friends and family.
