This tale involves college, Mexican food, and a wink. Let me explain.

It was the spring of 2021, and all up and down the street of Duluth in central Sioux Falls, there were all kinds of parties. Long story short, I spot her across the crowded, sticky-floored rental house making my favorite drink: a rum and coke. Ironically, Meghan hates these. I struck up a conversation--using all tricks in my arsenal--and left the party that night quite intrigued.

Fast forward one week; I run into Meghan at a campus event. This time, I utilized karaoke, a Taco Bell run, and a mediocre rendition of "Shallows" on my guitar to attract her attention. Apparently at least one of these gimmicks worked (I'm now convinced it was Taco Bell) and was rewarded with a wink. She winked at me! Basically, that sums up our courtship.

Just a short year later, we graduated from Augustana in May of 2022. We moved in together, and I got a teaching job in Harrisburg, while Meghan worked as a phlebotomist and florist.

We got engaged in July of 2023. In a stroke of genius, we also got a poodle puppy that same week and named him after one of our favorite TV chefs: Carmy. Meghan and I treasure our Sunday coffee dates, weekly movie nights, and walks with our fluffy new addition.

2024 is going to be a big year for us! Alongside the wedding in May, we will be traveling to Scotland in June for our honeymoon, and Meghan will begin Physician Assistant schooling at USD in July.

We are so excited for our friends and family to join us in celebrating our Big Day. We can't wait to see you there!
