A mutual friend (sally) connected them on instagram since they were going to the same mission.

They ended up sitting next to each other & playing tic-tac-toe on the plane ride to their mission in Minnesota.

They emailed for 6 months before Carson got home.

Their first date they went to Sub Zero and chatted for HOURS.

They hiked Timp so they had 15 hours straight to get to know each other.

They drove up to Idaho for the weekend so that Isabel could meet Carson's family!

They officially started dating!

On New Years Eve they said "I love you" for the first time!

They dated for 6 months while both attending BYU.

They broke up! Carson spent the summer doing summer sales while Isabel spent the summer working and traveling....but mainly missing each other.

After reconnecting through messages and seeing each other at Isabel's end of summer party, they decided to get together for dessert to see if the spark was still there.

Sure enough it was! They didn't want to rush into things and so they continued to go on dates and see each other without being exclusive. They ended up taking three weeks to think and pray about getting back together officially. They knew that if they decided to date again, it would most likely lead to marriage.

They both quickly realized they didn't want to do life without each other and decided to officially start dating again!

When they reunited, their lives felt fuller and happier than ever before.

From concerts, to birthdays, to traveling together, they enjoyed a wide range of experiences and made the most of every opportunity.

They went ring shopping while visiting his family in Idaho!

They got ENGAGED!!

They will be getting married for time & all of eternity almost exactly 4 years after they connected on instagram.
