7.8 mile round-trip hike in Catawba, VA. This is the most photographed location on the Appalachian Trail! Plan to give yourself approximately 4 hours to complete the hike and bring plenty of water. Dogs are welcome, but need to be on leash. Fun fact: Isabel and Adam made this hike a few days after getting engaged!

Isabel has visited this museum a time or two. It is located in the heart of downtown near lots of restaurants and other museums. Fun for adults and kids!

Isabel's favorite hike in the local area and also part of the Appalachian Trail. Approximately a 2.4 mile hike that will take around 3 hours to complete. There is some light rock-climbing-adjacent activity, so keep that in mind!

Right next to Mill Mountain Zoo, this is one of the landmarks of Roanoke, VA. There is a picnic area and scenic overlook, so this is a great place to kill some time or take your lunch.

The BEST brewery around! (also the location of our welcome event) If you are looking for quality beer with quality folk, make a visit or several to Parkway! There is indoor and outdoor seating, a walking trail nearby, and often a delicious food truck.
