It was a quiet day at work; the snow storm outside ensured that most people had stayed home. I sat in my cube idly working when I got a message from one of the few other people who had braved the weather to come in: Shawn. The conversation that followed became the first indicator I had that Shawn and I were going to get along.

Shawn: "Have you ever noticed that the flavor of Dr. Pepper changes with temperature?"

After a lengthy, detailed discussion in which we designed experiments on how to test the theory that soda flavor changes with temperature, it was clear we would be fast friends.

6 years, 10 motorcycles, a Lego city and a house later, the random and hilarious conversations continue, as does the friendship that became a romance and lifelong partnership.

Journal entry 23897: It was a sunny summer day in 2017 when I first met Isabel at work. I met her at a factory stand-up meeting where she yelled at me and everyone was as surprised as I was.

Journal entry 23898: After two attempted dates with Isabel, we were not aligned. Date 1 was me dressed up and Isabel rolling casual; Date 2 was her dressed up and I whipped in casual. Date 3 is where we decided to not dress up and just be ourselves.

Journal entry 23899: Well it happened after the success of Date 3. We are finally together. The ol' "Takes Two to Tango" got us there finally. Good day at Canobie lake and the Pizza Man.

Journal entry 23900: It’s been a minute since I have logged any data. Isabel and I have accomplished a lot in our adventures. I taught Isabel how to ride motorcycles and now she has her license! We have 10 motorcycles between us! We have travelled as well. We have been moto-camping; I went to Disney for the first time; we went to Italy where I proposed and now we are engaged. There will be no more journal entries after this as there will be no time to write down all the amazing adventures we plan to share. Together we can do anything as we did with the Lego city. We will continue to grow together throughout our lives as life-long partners.
