We met in 2017 at Buckeyethon, a fundraiser for pediatric cancer put on by Ohio State every year. Despite having many mutual friends and being at many of the same events, our paths had never crossed until that night. We quickly hit it off and bonded over our shared love for Ohio State, our dogs, family and more.

Fast forward a few years, we both graduated from Ohio State and began the post grad chapter of our lives. Isabel moved to New York City to begin her career, while Kiel began his career in Columbus. Kiel quickly was relocated to Cleveland for work, where he moved in the Kosar family for two years. Despite being long distance, we both looked forward to Kiel's frequent visits to New York on the weekends and holidays spent back in Ohio.

Long distance was short lived thanks to Covid shutdowns in 2020 when Isabel moved back to Cleveland and moved in with her parents..and Kiel. Although we were two adults living with Isabel's parents and siblings as roommates, that period of time led to some of our favorite memories as a couple.

After 2+ years of living in Cleveland with Isabel's parents, we decided it was time to make a change. So, we traded the snow for sunshine and moved 2,000+ miles away to San Diego. Shortly after our big move, we added our favorite roommate, Ivy! The addition to our family has created some of our favorite memories in our new home, especially our after work trips to Dog Beach. We love showing our friends and family our new home and creating new memories together.

Our favorite memory yet was on August 4th, 2023 when Kiel proposed to Isabel after 6 years. Kiel proposed on the beach and surprised Isabel with friends and family who came to celebrate our engagement. We had the best weekend yet celebrating, and we look forward to creating more memories on 10/11/2024!
